2015 Art Exhibition

2015 Art Exhibition

We were jam-packed with students, parents and family members, in our PAC during yesterday's Art Exhibition. The artwork exhibited this year is of such a high standard, thanks to the guidance of our very talented Visual Arts Teacher, Mrs Rhodes. Our PAC was transformed into a beautiful Enchanted Garden with colourful and creative artwork. Jaycob Campbell, our very supportive Auslan Teacher, officially opened our Exhibition, followed by our gorgeous Art Show Choir performances supported by our Performing Arts Teacher, Mrs Newell. 100 Days of Prep!

100 Days of Prep!

Today we celebrated our gorgeous Prep students achieving 100 Days of School. Our youngest students enjoyed a fun-filled day including making 100 Days Smarter Crowns, Counting Activities associated with 100, Games and a special treasure hunt prepared by their Buddies! Each Prep student will take home a showbag which contains a Certificate, "A Day in the Life of Prep at Bundoora Primary School disc, balloons, and a special gift for them as well as for their parent/carer! We welcome parents to join their child and meet with their cihld's teacher to discuss their progress at our Parent/Teacher/Student 3-way conferences next Wednesday 29th July 2015 between 2.00pm and 8.30pm. Woolworths Earn & Learn is on again!

Last year we obtained a lot of education supplies for our school. Please start collecting your Woolworths Earn & Learn stickers each time you shop at Woolworths. Sticker sheets are available from our office or downloadable here. Completed sticker sheets (with our school name on) can be dropped into the collection box at our office or at Woolworths Bundoora Square. Encourage your family, neighbours and friends to support our school by collecting their stickers too! We were so proud of our very own Physical Education teacher, the very talented & skilled Ms Lauren Arnell, as she took to the MCG in the AFL Women's Exhibition yesterday. Ms Arnell is very passionate about two things:  ensuring all kids are healthy - mentally, socially and physically; and AFL. Students have learnt from their sports lessons with Ms Arnell that fitness and health plays a big part in being happy and healthy. A special invitation is extended to all the ladies within our community and beyond. You are invited to purchase tickets to attend an evening especially for the ladies! Your ticket will allow you to choose at least TWO pamper treatments including mini-facials, hand/nail care, massage, hair styling. Between treatments you will have the chance to peruse the stalls (jewellery, accessories, etc.) , play with the paper-crafting tools, chat with other fabulous women in attendance as well as indulge in a delicious supper. 2016 Prep Enrolments are closing soon.

Due to our comprehensive learning programs, excellent facilities and very committed staff, Bundoora Primary School has seen a growth in enrolments over the past few years.  Whilst there are no zoning issues for our school at present, parents are encouraged to enrol their child as early as possible. School tours are available with our Principal, Ms Lee Pollard, on request.  You may like to meet with our Principal, Ms Lee Pollard, to arrange to tour our classrooms and grounds. Our tours, amongst other things, provide extensive information regarding our curriculum, specialist programs, and general classroom information, as well as giving you the opportunity to view the school and classes in action, and answer any queries you may have.

Kindy Time sessions (Kindy Science, Kindy Story Time, Kindy Sport & Kindy Music) are offered throughout the year to assist children to familiarise themselves in a school-type setting, with a view to raising to their confidence in an enjoyable, comfortable way. Kindy Time sessions are designed for kinder-aged children (3 or 4 year olds) to enable them to familiarise themselves with a school-type setting, with a view to raising their confidence in an enjoyable, comfortable way. It offers counselling, reporting and educational resources to assist young people deal with online risks including cyberbullying, unwanted contact, scams and fraud, and offensive or inappropriate material.
